April 20 NJAWBO Essex Dinner Meeting:
Business Systems and Processes
Featuring Abby Duncan of Duncan Resources and Connie Mascioli of Ridgedale Business Solutions
The next dinner meeting of the Essex Chapter of the New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) will be held on Tuesday, April 20 between 6.00-9.00 P.M. at the Wilshire Grand Hotel, 350 Pleasant Valley Way, in West Orange. NJAWBO Essex provides a forum for networking, professional development, and education for women business owners. The program’s topic is Business Systems and Processes, and the guest speakers are Abby Duncan, founding principal of Duncan Resources; and Connie Mascioli, president of Ridgedale Business Solutions.
Abby, who lives and works in Little Falls, and Connie, who lives and works in Cedar Knolls, will teach business owners – whether they are sole proprietors or employers of 20+ people – how to use a basic measurement system to determine whether they and their staff are using time effectively to maximize profitability. They will explain how to make decisions about when to outsource or hire additional help to handle administrative or other tasks, and discuss “best practices” that will help guide business owners toward choosing the right options for their business.
Abby Duncan helps owners of small businesses to create productive work environments which maximize profitability, employee retention, and customer satisfaction. She brings over 20 years of corporate and nonprofit Human Resources consulting experience to her current work with growing small companies. Her specialties include using process improvement and group dynamics to help companies through transitions; management coaching; and the training of employees relative to customer service.
Connie Mascioli consults with primarily small- and mid-size businesses to provide “best in class” HR services and solutions including evaluating current practices to identify risk/liability to the company and business owner as it relates to their employees; developing and implementing best practices; and helping to resolve employee problems.
The price for the meeting, which includes the program and a three-course dinner, is $35 for members and $45 for nonmembers with advance registration ($5 more at the door). For reservations, please register online at www.whoscoming.com/njawboessex or contact the NJAWBO Essex Hotline at 973-746-4404 (option 3) by April 19.
